Our Altstadt branch is where it all began – it's where we first brought high-quality specialty coffee and a touch of southern flair to Heidelberg. Today, we serve our own specialty coffee, sourdough bread, and pastries from our in-house bakery.

Specialty Coffee
At Südseite, you won't be drinking ordinary coffee. All our beans are roasted by us – light, precise, and with great care on our Stronghold S9X at the roastery in Heidelberg-Wieblingen. Only beans that impress us at the cupping table make it into our selection. You can then enjoy them as espresso, flat white, or filter coffee with us – or take them home directly as freshly roasted beans.

Sourdough born of true passion.
Alongside coffee, our sourdough bread is a fixed part of our Old Town offerings. Baked with the same high standards as our coffee – fermented, handcrafted, and with genuine character. If you wish, you can also pre-order loaves online and pick them up directly at the café.

Untere Neckarstraße is one of the most beautiful corners of Heidelberg's Old Town – quiet, yet right in the heart of things. Located directly by the park in front of the Stadthalle, our café with its relaxed atmosphere invites you to linger and take a breath. Whether it's a short stop or a long morning – you are welcome.
