- Store at room temperature, not in the fridge (refrigeration makes bread go stale faster).
- Keep it in a paper bag or wrap it in a clean tea towel.
- For extra protection, place the paper bag inside a loosely closed plastic bag. This keeps the crust from becoming too hard without trapping too much moisture.
- Once cut, place the loaf cut-side down on a wooden board or plate.
- This keeps the moisture inside and the crumb soft.
