Felix Diaz has been a passionate coffee drinker for many years. Before coffee, he was a hairdresser, a job he enjoyed for 25 years. Felix is adventurous and therefore travels to different places in Colombia. On this route he reaches the community of Putumayo, where he decides to settle and devote himself to agriculture. Like many people who work and live in rural areas of Colombia, he saw a great opportunity in illegal cultivation because it was one of the only profitable and well-known businesses in the area, even if it was illegal. But he was surrounded by war and had to cope with a family tragedy such as the death of his mother, which turned his life upside down and brought him back to his homeland of Huila to inherit the Renacer farm, where Felix found his new passion in the hands of his great and unconditional partner Albaney, also an excellent coffee producer who also works with Cata Export, and where they took a new path in coffee. There wasn't much knowledge about growing specialty coffee back then, but her neighbor invited her to a meeting with coffee farmers where they discovered how wonderful the world of coffee is because of the sense of community and the complexity of coffee itself. Felix says that the Renacer farm is not only a place with optimal climate, soil and nutrient conditions, but also a place where the manual and personal process that guarantees an excellent coffee bean takes place.
